Playwright Rebekah King and composer George Parris explore music's agency as a narrative device through the work and life of Hans Christian Andersen. Splicing Anderson's fairytale The Shadow with a biopic snippet of his uninvited visit to the residence of the Dickens family, this brand-new piece of theatre traverses themes of isolation, obsession and the power of music, poetry and the arts.
